By burning ethanol fuel (methylated spirits) there is no smoke, flying sparks, soot or harmful emissions generated. From the burning reaction of ethanol and oxygen only
carbon dioxide and water are released. Therefore you should always allow for reasonable ventilation.
The unique safety feature of the Steelmax fire is that they come with a safety fleece in the fuel tray which eliminates risk of fuel spillage even if the fuel tray was to
be turned over.
When used according to the safety instructions, a Steelmax fire is completely safe.
